この資料は、英語点訳における語の略し方について、点訳者が判断に迷ったり、あるいはうっかりして間違ってしまうかもしれないものをできるだけ多く集録したものです。現在約6350語掲載しています。
[ ]内が点字による略し方あるいは点字記号です。点字パターンをアルファベットや片仮名で示せるときはそれを用い、それで示せないときは点の配置を示す数字を使いました。なお、外来語中のアキュートやウムラウトなどの記号はすべて ^ で代用しました(点字では 4の点)。
各語の前には全角スペースを入れてありますので、検索の時に全角スペースの後に綴りを入力すれば、前方一致検索ができます。
この資料の作成に当たっては、『英語点訳ガイド−Textbook Written by Braille Transcribers−』(小林雅子・石井薫著、2008年)の巻末資料3 'Contraction Dictionary' を基にし、“Instruction Manual for Braille Transcribing”(Revised, 1977, Library of Congress)および『初歩から学ぶ英語点訳 四訂版』(福井哲也著、2007年)も参考にしました。
