Breakage of bail
Should we close it manually ?
The bail wire of 95Stella The bail wire of my 95Stella2000 had broken by a few day's use . |
|
98Ultegra The same point of 98Ultegra2000 had broken by one year . But I had adjusted the width of wire . So , the impact of closing had increased . Although it might be cause , I think it is a defect . |
|
Cause The weight of A and B of the present reels has increased . So , the impact on C has become larger . |
|
Measure This picture is my measure . I added the stopper on the balance weight . It decreases the impact on bail wire . |
|
I bonded the stainless pin by epoxy . |
|
It was a hint . Daiwa's Freams has same stopper on balancer . Cardinal
C300 and Mitchell Avocet have also . It means the stopper is necessary
. |
|
Daiwa is same ! The bail angle of 97EmblemZ2000iA altered by a few day's use . And the tripping lever had broken by 2day . |
|
It is not the deformation of wire . Its cause is weakness of bail pivots
. |
I am the " Mitchell angler " . So , I usually close the bails
by handle of the reel .
Some Japanese anglers say that bail should be closed by hand . I don't
think so .
How do you return the clutch of bait reel and spin casting reel ?
The cause of these breakage are on the reels . It is not angler's responsibility
. (2004/7/26)
