Bait reels

I'm sorry...only 2 reels.

TD1Hi
Hi-class bait caster in `88.
The first infinite anti-reverse bait reel.
It had the one-piece-die-casting frame too.
Giugiaro's design
It was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro.
The original design was more stiff. But Daiwa changed it roundly.
It's more beautiful than next TD-X etc.
Wrong...but
The star drag click and molded drag wheel are gimmick. They increase the " over hang " and weight.
But truly wrong manufacturers are other Japanese manufacturers. They had copied this gimmick without study.
TD-X103HL
" Neo-gripping concept " bait reel in `97.
The picture is 2001model.
I like progressive model like this.
Oh !
But I cannot cast !
Daiwa says that the trigger should be put in the middle finger and the third finger.
The flexibility of wrist is spoiled in this gripping.
By standard gripping
I thing that Daiwa is not right.
So, I use it by standard gripping.
But my thumb cannot reach the spool.
The tackle should be made to be used by standard way !
If...
If the thumb rest part , pointed by red arrow , were lower , it was a good reel.
Its center of gravity is near to grip-end . It is good point for casting .
Reeling
I put the trigger in the little finger and the third finger. It is more comfortable than the ordinary reels.
Daiwa should throw away the idea which do casting and reeling by same gripping.
And I think the right handle version of it might be a good reel.
Oh....
But Daiwa yielded.
If I were Daiwa , I changed only the " thumb rest ".
