Freams

Freams is a Japanese version of Capricorn. Capricorn is regarded by TackleTour.com. So, I bought it.

Freams2000
Daiwa's 02 model with metal body and sidecover.
It's good one.
Daiwa is favorable in the exportation and avoided a deficit after an interval of the 6 years.
Made in Thailand.
Large diameter spool
Its aluminum spool lip of gold colored is not good idea. But its original was Shimano...
It can reel 65cm per 1 rotation of handle in spite of 4.7:1 ratio. It is a effect of large diameter 45mm spool. The rotation is stable.
It is still good although the lip should be straight like Zebco , Mitchell , ABU33/44 , Lew etc.
Rotor brake
Its bail does not block your finger.
Bail stopper
There is a stopper on opposite of bail-arm.
It decreases the impact to bail tube , when it closed.
Bearings
Its pinion is supported by 2BB.
New flat winding system
It is simple and low cost and smooth and silent and.....
But I want to increase the stroke a little. Its stroke is shorter than spool.
Line roller bushing
The plastic bush is never rust. I think it is better than BB. Good select.

By the way, Bush is a destroyer !
Cost down
All of its screws are tapping screws.
I am anxious for the screw.

Although it was low cost , it is good reel. Although it is Japanese reel , its bail tripping is smooth. Although it is Japanese reel , its handle-knob is good.

By the way it has become " nallow spool ".
What was the " long spool " ?
What is a " boom " ?
