Mitchell's Leg Why is it beautiful ?

	The shortest distance design See the 300C. Its leg is designed by the shortest distance for the center of the handle shaft.
	The salt water 302 is same.
	The Cap 304 is so. Although I don't have, 306 is same too.
	Of course, the 308 is same design. This design is strongest against the deformation of the torque from the handle.
	Plastic body The plastic body is not the "shortest design". But the area of contact of the body and the leg is long.
	Foot The foot of `70's are 68mm. It is too long to set on the present rods. So, it become 62mm since `80's.
	High-backed The plastic models have the high-backed feet. This design prevents flexing. So, although they are plastic they are not flexible.

Why is it beautiful ? It was born from rational design. Although all of the rational designs are not beautiful, Mitchell has the both of the beauty and rationality.

By the way, how about the leg of 300X ? The designer of this reel didn't know the shortest design. If it had been designed by the shortest design, it became more beautiful.

However, it seems like the present French cars also. I think it is not so wrong sometimes.
